Prof Bharadhwaj Sivakumaran
Professor Bharadhwaj Sivakumaran is a renowned academician with more than 26 years of teaching, research, industry, and administrative experience. Prior to joining SRM University-AP as the Dean of Paari School of Business, he worked as the Director (Research) and Bala V and Vasantha Balachandran Chair Professor of Marketing at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai.
Prof Bharadhwaj commenced his teaching career at the Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Madras. He went on to do his PhD in Marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. While expanding his academic boundaries by working at institutions like the University of Maryland, USA, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, IIT Madras, Chennai, and the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, he evolved into a refined educator with global exposure.
Professor Bharadhwaj has an outstanding publishing record with several A* and A publications as per ABDC ratings. He has presented multiple papers at international conferences, published several research chapters, and done presentations at institutions like ISB, IIM Calcutta, IIM Rohtak, NIT Trichy, IIM Indore among others. He has been the convener of the prestigious Great Lakes North American Society for Marketing Education in India (NASMEI) Marketing conference for thirteen years.
He has served a significant role in the administrative body of the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. He was a Managing Editor at the Great Lakes Herald and Area Editor of the Journal of Indian Business Research, Emerald Publishing. He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Business Research and is an ad hoc reviewer for leadings marketing journals.
He bagged the Emerald Outstanding Reviewer Award for the Journal of Indian Business Research in 2013. He was also honoured with the Emerald All India Management Association (AIMA) Indian Management Research Fund Award, 2009, AMA-Sheth Doctoral Consortium Fellowship, University of Maryland, 2001, Deans’ Summer Research Fellowship Award, University of Maryland, Summer, 2000, and many more.
