FDP on Qualitative Research by the Department of Management

The Department of Management at The Paari School of Business is set to host an insightful and engaging Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Qualitative Research: Principles, Methods and Practice.” Scheduled to begin from February 08 to 16, 2025, this online programme aims to elevate academic rigour and expertise in qualitative research methodologies among participants including academicians, research scholars, industry professionals, and master’s students.
About the Resource Persons
Dr Vimal Babu is an Associate Professor in OB & HR with over 20 years of teaching, research & training expertise. He has a strong focus on qualitative research design and methods, with an in-depth understanding of data analysis and the intricacies of drafting research papers. His interdisciplinary work spans human behaviour and entrepreneurship, using qualitative methodologies to explore complex behavioural phenomena. As the lead author, he published his debut textbook, Negotiation for Entrepreneurship (2023), with Prof. Robert Hisrich as the co-author. He is also the lead author of the upcoming textbook ‘Entre’ship in Uncertainty’ with Prof. Leo Paul Dana, (2025) under the De Gruyter publications, Berlin. His papers and book chapters have been published in reputed ABDC and Scopus journals. He was honoured with the Best Reviewer Award, OB Division 2024 by AOM, Chicago and Outstanding Faculty Award, 2024 by SRM University-AP. He holds a PhD from FMS, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His guidance in qualitative research design, methods, and drafting will provide valuable insights to the participants of the proposed FDP.
Dr Jaspreet Kaur is an Associate Professor in Marketing with over 16 years of experience in teaching Consumer Behaviour, Sustainability, and Market Research. She is also a certified corporate trainer. Throughout her career, she has received several awards for her excellence in research, including the GRABS award for ‘Best Researcher Faculty’ in 2018. Dr Kaur has authored two books and published 30 research papers in well-regarded ABDC-indexed journals. She has a deep expertise in qualitative research methods and meta-analysis. Her extensive experience in research and teaching makes her highly qualified to lead the proposed FDP on qualitative research. Dr Kaur serves as a reviewer for prestigious ABDC and Scopus-indexed journals such as IJCS, APJM, and JBR. She specialises in academic and corporate training, focusing on qualitative research methods and meta-analysis. Dr Kaur is currently pursuing her PhD at IIM Lucknow. Her expertise will guide participants in qualitative research design, methods, and data analysis, and provide practical insights.
