It is my pleasure to be part of this first commencement event and I would like to congratulate you for your successful graduation. I hope that reaching that goal was an enriching experience gained through struggling, discovering, learning, and interacting with the faculty and your fellow students. But this enriching process does not end with graduation. The learning must continue because it is a life-long process; you should never stop discovering, learning, and interacting with people. One final thought - when I think of a new generation of graduates I think of a group of young men and women who will help us resolve the environmental, social, and economic challenges the world faces : I am excited because you are our hope for a better and more sustainable world. I am counting on you and wish you the very best.
