Vijayawada: Good news for aspirants in teaching profession, universities in Andhra Pradesh are on a recruitment spree. For the first time in the history, a whopping number of 1,385 posts — professors, associate professors and assistant professors will be filled all at once.
Andhra University, Sri Venkateswara University, Sri Krishnadevaraya University and Dravidian university have so far invited applications for various faculty posts in different departments.
With a view to making Amaravati a hub of education centre, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has making all out efforts to woo investors to set up private universities. The VIT and SRM universities have already began functioning in the state capital.
